Got two of my flower planters finished last night --- one of them is quite large and required replacing the dirt, so I should count that as a strength workout. The little flowers look so small and undeveloped right now, but by summer's end I am sure it will be gorgeous.

We had a new person start in our department this week and our boss took us all out to lunch yesterday to get acquainted. Not sure what to think yet, she is one of those "Power Woman" types or at least comes across that way. I hope she lightens up a bit.

Should've run but it was pouring cold rain and I was having multiple electronic issues.  Couldn't download garmin.  Couldn't get my phone to update to 8.0.  Could get the TV to work in the basement near the TM.  It was a day not meant to be. Going to do my run in the morning instead.

Today is Snake Selfie Tuesday (as well as Cinco de Mayo).  Here is an old Snake Selfie:

I am tired today.  Since I haven't been exercising, my body is screaming from yesterday's slow run.  I expected this and need to push through my tired and sleepy (this could be from the rain that has settled down on Denver this week) self and get another short run in today.  I am going to try and run at lunch.
My mood isn't the greatest (probably the rain) but since I recognize that I can do something about it.  I am going to try to meditate and see if that can energize me.

Doctor's appt today. Wish me luck. I want a nice big brace. 
Soooooooooo... no more PT. They've ordered me up an EXTENSION BOARD of my own to use at home. To crank that baby down as much as possible as often as possible. The doctor really believes that getting those last couple of degrees of extension will be the key to putting off this knee replacement as long as possible, and keeping me somewhat painfree in the process. I've also been given an RX for MOBIC. (Meloxicam).
He doesn't think I need a brace... and he doesn't want to encourage me to get a brace. He wants me to work my stabilizing muscles in the knee and strengthen them... He's afraid that if I rely too much on a brace, I will atrophy even further. And GODKNOWS we don't need that.

Took the plunge and signed up for the triathlon training group at the Y, which starts tonight.  Haven't received any details yet so not sure what to expect, but hopefully it will be fun!  In less exciting news, I've woken up well before my alarm the last 2 mornings...annoying.

I had a near disaster today. I was doing the [Friday] planned .5'@5K pace/1' easy today and when slowing down to a rest interval my right foot caught on a bump in the sidewalk and I caught myself but in doing so overloaded my right hamstring. It was not quite enough to cause a major problem but was sore afterward (and the next morning). I had been thinking of doing the planned bike workout after work, but when I got home and after walking the dog, I got a muscle cramp in my left calf. I decided doubling up on workouts today was not a good idea.

Still today, a week later, left knee feels Arthritic in the AM. Right ankle hurt badly in the late afternoon while at work. Other basic issues seem to be waning.
Will try Treadmill sometime Thursday, or Friday AM.
