Good, smooth bowflex session after work. Started with weight levels from last January and each exercise was quite comfortable. Planning to bump a few up on Wednesday.

FINALLY back in the teens; down nearly 9 lbs (I was up to 128.4 on June 24)!  People must think it's crazy that I lose weight by cutting back on exercise and eating a high fat diet.  That's cutting "back," not out.  I really need to get consistent with high intensity interval training and weights.

Too busy during lunch hour, so this was after work core.

So incredibly tired.  It took a crowbar to pry my zzz out of the bed today.
Session with MrE tonight.  Looks like rain all week--blech.  But, we need it.
Thing One is having problems with one side post wisdom teeth extraction.  She has to call the dentist back.....She is volunteering at Vacation Bible School every morning this week and working in the afternoons after it.  She has to do the VBS for her community service hours for school (20 hours a semester under the same supervisor) so she will be heading in to work late one day so she can see the dentist.  The most solid food she has gotten in has been lo mien.
Miss Thing is heading up to her school for her student ID photo, going to try and see her dorm as it isn't one they showed on the tour.  Her boyfriend's grandfather lives near the campus so they are going to see him too.

Swim on the schedule.  Office this am. By some miracle I don't have any cases today.  Its a rare day of ER call when there is not at least one hip fx.  Weekend was a continuation of stupid.  ER idiot yelling at me again which I took up with the chief of staff.  Consult for pts who are not even in the hospital, consults for things I don't treat.  Nurses waking me up for BS.  Honestly I don't know how much I can continue to do this.  The clinic expects perfect.  Here is a news flash I am not perfect nor is anyone else.  If we don't get perfect scores on the patient satisfaction surveys they consider the visit a failure, yet t hey give those surveys to people who I am required to see because they were in the ER but the clinic tells me I am "not allowed to see the pt more than once" because they have insurance we are not on.  Thats going to generate a perfect score.  Not.  They ACTIVELY discourage us from taking any time of[...]

My calves are killing me today... after yesterday's 2nd run they cramped severely. Today both are killing me. I wanted to run for an hour, but instead, I think bagging today's workout will allow me to resume running tomorrow (fingers crossed).

EARLY morning to day for the 'procedure' . Fun stuff this getting older. I am not complaining, it is way better than the alternative. However, Just get all gowned up and the fire alarm goes off. Everyone has to evacuate to outside. It is misty rain and I was trying not to get the giggles. I know a lot of the firemen/women and was so not looking forward to running into any of them with my.... defenses down, as it were. Engines arrive (in only a couple of minutes, good thing we were a block off the station). Everyone goes back in. I JUST get my IV in and here it goes again. Wheeled out in the gurney to the parking lot again in the early morning rain. Repeat of scene one. It is longer this time. Thank goodness this did not happen during the "procedure" itself. Fortunately for me, I was done and out of there with no further drama. It is going to be a long day for the clinic, though. A huge nap when I got home, EAT LUNCH!! and then, maybe an easy-peasy bike ride.

So I had a good visit with my doc on Friday... she actually dug a little deeper into my history to see if she could figure out the shoulder thing.  She ran a bunch of labs and is checking into the possibility of rheumatoid arthritis which although I do not WANT to have RA, it would answer ALL the questions about the auto-immune crap dealing with my eyes.  In the meantime, she put me back on Celebrex which I was taking last year to see if would stop my eyes from flaring (it didn't, so now I'm on Humira), and so far so good.  It definitely takes the edge off the pain!  I'm taking one pill a day for 2 weeks, and if I am still having a lot of pain I can go up to the max of 2 pills a day, follow up in a month and the good thing is that I can still swim, she wants me to stay active.
