Cycing today instead of yesterday was wishful thinking. I planned to work from home to make things more 'flexible' but it didn't work out like that. Meetings running on and then dealing with actions meant that it didn't happen.

Had a fantastic evening spectating cycling at the Round 1 of Revolution6 at the Olympic Velodrome in London. Laura Trott vs Marianne Vos in the omnium, exciting riding! I'll be back on plan tomorrow.

Well, it's evening now the night before the race. Everything's hopefully taken care of and now just have to get to the swim start to race. It was a neat start of the day today as I got to meet (albeit a bit awkwardly as I was having a disagreement with her) the 2006 Woman Ironman World Champion, Michellie Jones! I was disagreeing with ISM seats being comfortable as it was one of the most painful I was ever on. She said I just didn't set it up right but I really did try to make it work according to the directions. Well, she said she'd see about getting me set up later if I contacted her about this discussion. Perhaps I will. Still cool to meet her! I enjoyed pro Vinnie Johnson's attitude to training and will look into the coaching/training outfit he's with, QT2 Systems. Well gotta get ready for bed... more after the race.

12:04pm:  Another morning just flew by.  I'm ready for the weekend!  Nothing too much planned, which is great since the weather is supposed to be pretty cooperative.  I have some end-of-season work to do outside and I'd also like to do a more thorough cleaning of my car other than just running through a car wash.

Yesterday got away from me, so I'll swap today's off day and do my core work. Just finished up getting everything off my tablet so I can ship it back to Dell for repair. Shouldn't be a big deal for them. My monitor doesn't work, but I can see everything through HDMI cable on the tv. It's been an intermittent problem since they replaced the unit several months ago. I suspect there is something loose inside and it finally worked its way completely out.

Beer tasting last night was interesting. They did a great job pairing the food and drink. The chef gave the 6 course menu to the cicerone and she chose some really interesting beers that I wouldn't normally try. I did taste everything on the menu and tried all of the beers. The only ones I gave to Fred were a heavy stout that we had for dessert with a bowl of chocolate goo (my technical term!) and a very hoppy IPA. Brutal insomnia this week! Too much on my mind re: work so haven't been able to get up early enough to get a workout in and can't justify taking time away from work to actually workout even with the full knowledge I'd feel way better! Also keep skipping meals and the. Eating carbs to full up. Feel like I'm getting fatter. Need to plan better!

PT advised me he's moving back to Vancouver. Annoying as I still have 3 sessions left and I feel it's pointless not to have a plan with some momentum. I'm quitting this gym as soon as they are done. Trailer trash gym!
