This man is truly a prophet or something.  Seriously. We KNOW all those things, somehwere in our heads, but to be reminded so succinctly by a man who, in my mind, should be loving those kids and his wife like crazy somewhere quiet and peaceful, changes it all.  And I guess that is how we love our loved ones, even in times of fear and death- with grace, humor, and above all, sharing our love with "the least of these..."  For those of us preparing for Lent, this is truly rich.

Then of course, the parallels with tris,  or any other lifestyle or dream.  Thanks Fish..

I'm glad I'm not in the office these days, OTOH, they probably would have sent me home assuming I was suffering from burnout or something.

True, we know these things that he says, now, can you live them?

My wife has a friend at school whose mother was just diagnosed with brain cancer.  She goes under the knife tomorrow.

I never watch threads where people just say watch without saying what it is about.  Took a chance on this one.

Thanks (but it still wouldn't hurt to put in what it is about Smile)

I stopped to watch it before I ran out the door this morning. I was so moved I actually took the time to watch it and ended up running late. Guess what--it was worth it.

Besides, honestly, what would you say it is about? He kind of covers a LOT of ground. Smile

On another note, I was not moved to tears, but to joy. Here is a man that knows the intrinsic value of his life, and has chosen to live every single second of it.

He really is an inspiration to everyone. He helped my reexamine my life and also check out the college which I will end up going to. Truly an amazing story.

Way to go Pittsburgher. THis guy has a horrible, horrible disease, one of the worst ways to die. Either he doesn't know what's coming in the next few months, or more likely, he actually lives the way he says he does in his lecture.
