I'm running in a 44-mile run relay in a few months - my team has 5 people. Past event photos indicate costumes are welcome and abundant! I need ideas. Must be something we can actually RUN in. Weather will be questionable, but obviously it can't be too warm as we'll be... running.

There will be 3 females and 2 males. All in our 20s. All good looking

IDEAS???

Why aren't you on the team?

Oh you know I'm JOKING! Does your team have a name yet? Or are you going to find a theme first then name the team?

Me and some friends wore mullet wigs for the Tower of Terror 13K at Disney this past October. Lots of funny reactions from people.

Ok.  Stupid one came to my mind and I just have to get it down.

Nesting dolls.  You know, those kind that you pull the top off and there is a smaller one inside? Each person is a smaller version of the person that tagged them.

I know.  Stupid.  But I had to write it.  Blame it on the fever I think I'm getting.

At one of the races here where people all wear costumes,  the ones that stood out the most last year were dressed in 80's aerobics gear,  so lovely pastel or fluro colours, with leg warmers and sweat bands especially round the head,  and leotards with tights underneath.  Hilarious and quite easy!

So many possibilities...my favorite...because I love superman so...is for everyone to wear blue spandesk shorts or skirts  (guys or girls, up to you)...a blue dry tec shirt and pin a superman S or have one put on...a light waight red cape (when I was going to do this, I was going to use a really thin red vinal table cloth and cut it to size)...and a gold race belt(you would probably have to make the belts yourself...sense I have never actually seen a gold race belt)...and you are done.

The other thing I would do, is to all get a matching white drytec shirts and have playing card faces put on them so that you could be a "straight" or a "full house"  or even do 4 aces and a joker...or something like that...those are two...If you want more, let me know.

Dodgeball team....short shorts, matching tops and sweatbands (will come in handy).  Then who ever runs carries the dodgeball.

If it is going to be close to Easter you all could always dress up as bunnies. That wouldn't be to hard to run in. What exactly is a "few months"?

Heh, the birthday suits idea might not be that bad actually! You can get flesh colored leotards from any dance supply company, and then pin some leaves to it. *poof* instant birthday suit that won't get you arrested.

flintstones
Disney Characters
Love the scooby doo and the super-hero ideas above as well
Police men and women
Tarts and vicars - the men won't be able to resist the tart costume (wearing it that is)
Characters from movies - you could select an era or a genre to narrow it down, or just go as whoever you like

I'll try and think up some more....

Sperm and Egg.

The "sperm" wear white swim caps, white shirts and shorts, and have white tails.

The "egg" wears a big white ball.

This is a better costume idea if you're all running together b/c the sperm just run around the egg and keep bumping into it for the entire race.

It's on April 6.

Thanks for the ideas peeps! I am partial to the 80s theme, but I LOVE the dodgeball one, too. This will be hard to decide!
