Okay, these are kind of obscure movies. I was originally turned off because they were Russain with subtitles. But man, they are good movies! Especially in the first movie, the subtitles are actually interesting to watch -- they become part of the movie.

Yeah, they have vampires in them, but they're not "vampire" movies. There's a whole lot more depth to the story. And you NEED to watch them both, and in the order I listed, or you'll either get totally confused (if you watch the second movie first), or really bummed (if you watch the first movie but not the second).

We got them from the local library, and are now looking for copies to buy. Yup, I thought they were that good.

Any one else here seen these?

I'm confused, where does Bay Watch fit in?

I've heard of these though I've not seen them. Part three is due out in 2009, known as Dusk watch or Twilight Watch.

Just added them to my Blockbuster queue.

Yeah, I've had Night Watch in my Netflix queue for a while, but haven't seen it yet. Perhaps I'll have to bump it up.

When I was in Moscow, I was watching a Jackie Chan movie on TV. The movie was Chinese, the subtitles English, but the voice overs were Russian. It was AWESOME!! The GUY (yes, singular) doing the voiceovers was totally monotone, and did all the womens voices too. In his Russian guy voice.

I laughed, I cried.

Wow. Just looked that up on imdb. Filmed in English, because Fox is a co-financer. So I guess that means all the actors will have to be re-cast, since they didn't speak English (well, the ones in the "makiing of" didn't).
