If you want to talk about moist and disgusting, I used to work at a paper mill that recycled cardboard. I'd be willing to bet that the floor there was nastier than my gym floor (although it was usually covered with a few inches (or feet) of disgusting pulp). It still doesn't make me feel better about touching my gym floor. I'm sure there are plenty of germs on doorknobs too, but at least they are usually not moist 24/7.
