Pre-race routine:

had a half a begel before I left the folks house

Event warmup:

Got to the event in plenty of time. It started at a great high school track so I was able to do a few laps and warm up

Comments:

This was the smallest 5K run event I have ever done. It was a lot of fun. The funniest part was I ran next to this one man and make a long story short he is my oldest sisters x husband! I had not seen him in 20-25 years. He was at the run taking photos of friends and got some of me too! My time on the run was OK bet I could of done better if I had not been talking with the x brother in law and trying to keep a good pace too! Oh well I was happy! I came close to getting a ribbon but a few other ladies beat me out. BUT I did get a bar of irish spring soap for being the runner who was from the farthest away. So I was pretty thrilled about that! LOL

What would you do differently?:

Do not run and talk with a person next to me LOL

walked around the track put on my sweats

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think just talking to my x brother in law and maybe the chilly moist temps. But oerall a fun time

Would be fun to go do it again next year
