If it's from the course preview video...I had to finish that months ago and we just confirmed one part of the course with the Army Corps of Engineers (they control the dam and the area around it). The official sprint distances are: swim 750 meters bike 18 miles run 3.4 miles (we needed to go a little long on the run so it could go out to the dam and would follow the first and last part of the half course...less confusing). You will most certainly curse the extra .3 miles of running but at least it's scenic  By the way...I just saw your avatar...I don't even want to ask what goes on in your house! What's holding up that rear tire? |

Don't worry. It's not in any of your info. Somehow got entered that way in the BT race database. Not sure how to change it there--maybe ask Ron or Mike. And thanks for the heads up on the extra 0.3 miles. That would have been a nasty surprise on race day. |

I would LOVE to be able to meet BT'ers somewhere before the race (early morning) near the transition area to get a few minutes video interviews of BT'ers doing the race - then followup with some post race video interviews. To put together a nice video segment for the homepage. Let me know...we should have a BT banner somewhere near transition to meet. Can't wait to see ya... |

Champion 13323 Gold member | Subject: RE: Black Bear Triathlon I plan to be at pre-race checkin on Saturday 12-6pm, you should see the banner, stop by...if you're racing we can get a few pre-race interviews as the morning of the race may be too busy. I'm racing the sprint, so make sure you stick around after the race, when I'm finished, I will be back at the banner to get some of your sprint and 1/2 IM thoughts. |
