Can there possibly be anyone out there who was a Davidson fan before the Tourney. This Stephen Curry is just riduculous. On a good note if Wisconsin loses it will actually clinch a 20 person pool for me already as not enough points to be made up by anyone to catch me.

Badger fan here (my office area is behind the Kohl Center where the Badgers play), but what a great display of playing by Davidson!  Curry and the 3-pointers couldn't be stopped.  Badgers looked flat, Flowers did waaaaaay too much dribbling, and other things, but I won't take anything away from Davidson - they played very well.

Good luck to Davidson!

Curry alone outscored the entire Wisconsin team in the second half, 22-20.

Always love the Cinderella stories. I thought this was neat:

When the final buzzer sounded, the Davidson fans bounced up and down and a few chanted, "Rock, chalk, Jayhawk!" in reference to top-seeded Kansas. This is exactly what Davidson's happy band of travelers was hoping when it boarded all those buses. The Board of Trustees paid the way - bus fare, tickets and a hotel room - for students who wanted to make the 11-hour ride from North Carolina, and a few hundred took them up on the offer.

Actually, I heard on the radio that they could only get transport for 300, but 1100 of the 1700 students at Davidson wanted to go...

Lebron James was at the game, maybe he'll pull some string and get the Cavs to draft are trade for Curry. The Cavs could use another good man like Curry.

My Basketball coach from High School coached Curry at Charlotte Christian. I was fortunate to watch him play in a few tournament games hosted by my high school here in Augusta while he was at Charlotte Christian. I knew then he was something special. I just couldn't believe that no colleges but Davidson would give him a shot. I bet there are some college coaches kicking themselves right now (ahem...Virginia Tech)...On a side note, I heard his little brother is better than he is!!

My grandfather was a Davidson alum....he sure would be happy. The school is about 45 min from here. Local sportscasters said a few weeks ago that nobody wanted to play Davidson because of their crazy winning percentage in their last 20-25 games......but I don't think anyone imagined this.

Go Davidson.

Geezerette #2 is a Davidson alum so I have been following them this season.  Davidson nearly defeated both Duke and North Carolina in the cannon fodder season on those schools' home courts, then went undefeated through the Southern Conference regular season and tournament.  The run through the NCAA is not all luck.

Yes, a lot of coaches are wondering how they could have missed gunner like Curry.

Just a plug for a great school, Davidson is one of the jewels of small liberal arts colleges with very rigorous academic standards, an emphasis on teaching, and one of the most beautiful campuses anywhere.  G2 turned down Harvard, Georgetown, UPenn, UNC, and Wake Forest to go there.

What an incredible run for a sweet little school--and 59-57 is just unbelievable.

I went to Davidson '94-'96 and still stay in touch with profs/alums.

No worries, this doesn't count as the bandwagon.  If you start rooting for a Cinderella in the NCAAs, this is exempt from the bandwagon rule.
