I'll be in vancouver for business next week and looking for a lap pool or even better a masters club. Any recommendation? It would have to be early AM(6am) access if possible, because I think these meetings are going to run late.

These are the two pools I use:

1. Vancouver Aquatic Centre (VAC) - 50 meter - opens at 6:30 am on weekdays
Map: http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=aquatic+centre&near=Van...
Schedule: http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/parks/rec/pools/pdf/vacpool.pdf

VAC drop in rate is around $5 (IIRC).

2. YWCA - 25 meter - 25 meter - opens at 6:00 am on weekdays
Map: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=535+Hornby+Street,+...
Schedule: http://www.ywcahealthandfitness.com/events.php?id=41&view=&firstday...

YWCA non-member drop in rate:
Drop-in rate is $16.00 for Adults, $10.00 for Seniors & Students and $8.00 if you come with a member. Photo identification is required for all drop-ins.

Who are you asking? I used to do the early morning thing at the YWCA. But they started scheduling water aerobics (or as I call it, jumping up and down in water) during the prime time slots for early morning swimmers. The classes take up half the pool, leaving only 2 lanes for lap swimming... slow, medium, ahhh, no lane for fast people, so I had to bow out :P Now I go during work hours :) I'll be going to the VAC tomorrow morning around 8 ish.
