confirmed. What in the WORLD?! First they cancel the swim, then they go changing our numbers as fast as they can change their minds... We'll be lucky if there even is a race!

Per KUJH-TV news reports they have shortened the swim to .2 miles!?

Just kidding....I happened upon this Youtube clip of what appears to be a news reporter's first day at work who can't get her facts straight.

Click here for a good laugh.

All Right folks. I'm about to hit the road. I want to wish everybody safe travels and have the race of a lifetime. I'll be sporting the BT t-shirt Saturday so if you see me PLEASE introduce yourself. I'll be on the look out for any fellow BTers. Sunday I will once again be sporting BT colors. So holler as you go past me. And if they are loading me into an ambulance please don't stop for details.....I'll post them in the RR! Good Karma and all that stuff to everybody. I will be looking for familiar faces......

Hi all,

I've been lurking this thread lately. Too disappointed that I'm not racing to post.... but anyway.

I had a funny dream last night that I was there cheering everybody on. Except the race was in an amusuement park. And I took a nap in this weird pirate ship thingy while everyone was on the bike. I guess it could happen....

Good luck to everyone this weekend! Dave (my fiance, who is doing the relay with crozetiga) and I will be there Saturday and Sunday of course, so maybe we'll run into you all. I'll hopefully have Lisa's wonderful BT sign, so please stop by if you see it/me! (I am not in my sling anymore though, so not quite as easy to recognize.)

And during the race, I'll make sure to ring my official Ironman cowbell extra loud for you!

She's hot so it's OK. It sounded like she forgot the statistic. It's happened to me a few times, so I share her pain.

Bad news Veganman crossed wheels with another biker on the 1st big down hill (going down hill, fast) of the bike and crashed into a Gatorade crate at the 1st water stop. His quad was was completly cut in half and he has had surgery to fix his quad. Send you prayers and thoughts to our fallen BTer.

We had heard there was a compound fracture of the femur. As awful as his situation is, I'm very glad that's not the case. I was sick to my stomach after I heard it was Ryan. Heal up, buddy. We're prayin' for ya over here.

Oh my god. I saw the ambulance (it actually passed me as I was getting ready to go down that hill) and a guy on the road all bloodied up. I cannot believe it was one of our own.

You're in our thoughts, hun.
