I know someone who did it- said it was a very small field, esp for the OLY. Really good chance to have placed in AG There were some other events going on this weekend too- Rocky Point tri, Wildflower, Splash n' dash etc so maybe thats why it was a small race?

We get to race against a lake? Sweet. Won't win the swim but going to punish it on the bike and run!

I was planning on doing this one, but it didn't work out. I thought it might be a smaller race. Lots of other things going on and it wasn't well advertised.

It was a smaller race last year too, but mostly I think becuase the people who do all the other Tri Family races are used to nice flat races. This one is a beeyotch.  They don't want nothin to do with it.  The bike and run are total arse kickers.  So if you DO show up and do it, you can place higher than normal in your AG.  I would never want to do the Oly up there becuase the roads are chip sealed, no bike lane and there is still park traffic, but the sprint distance is killer enough.
