Nice job Luke! I was hoping to see you on the news or in the paper! Those buggers don't know talent, do they now?  I might do this next year.

I did it! It was fun! I won't post my time, but lets just say I was one of the first people they stopped before the bridge went up. For my first ever race of any kind, I was pleasantly surprised with my outcome. Thankfully my first tri this year is only a sprint...I still need a lot of work on my run.

How far is the run and how much time do you have to get to the bridge?

it's an 8K. the bridge is 2 miles into it. Depending on which wave you're in, the last wave, which is the 8+ min/Mile wave, you've got 20 minutes to beat it. So, IF you cross the start line right at 8:40 and you do a 10 minute mile, you should make it. But, if you don't start right at 8:40 you've got to run a faster than a 10 min/mile to make it. I think it took some people over 2 minutes from the go gun to cross the line. pretty crazy, but fun!
