Transition 1
Comments: transition from run to bike, backwards order because of cold weather. didn't want to sit on the wet ground, had to put foot warmers on over the bike shoes, etc.. Bike
Comments: bike was after the 5K run. 5 or 6 people passed me on the hills. evidence of first time on my bike in 5 months. started sleeting / freezing rain the last 2 miles of the bike. lower back was really aching 15 minutes into the ride. the horn seat was a little uncomfortable after inguinal (groin) hernia surgery back in late Feb. just could get the "boys" in a comfortable riding position... What would you do differently?: follow a training plan Transition 2

What limited your ability to perform faster: haven't done any endurance training in a year. using Crossfit methodology to stay fit. spending most of my spare time now with kids & soccer, kids and this, kids and that.... they're more important than age group results... then hernia surgery in feb, lower back & knees, heel & elbow aging issues...
