eat gu every 30min instead of drinking accelerate.

super hot and humid. got a second wind for the last half of the second loop. shoes and socks got soaked with water, which i was poring over my head constantly. took socks off before second loop.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

definitely the temperature. it was super hot (96F) and humid after the second bike loop and that's when i lost steam. overall it took me one minute longer compared to last year, but i was in the top 35% (last year i was in the last 35%), which makes me very happy.
