Sharkie - 2008-06-19 3:02 PM Ok everybody.. Make me STOP screwing around.. I need to finish my year end Cash and Investment statements..

There is not temptation on TAN - it's dead.  And SO close to ending it.  Thought there could be a flurry.

That sucks, cuz it will end tomorrow morning and the new one will have 10 pages before I'm up and in the office...

Another reason I want to move back to Colorado.  MTN time zone.  So an additional hour of TAN traffic.  I hate when it hits 3:00 (now that I'm addicted to TAN)

3:00 and beyond is when I need it most.  sigh

Have you heard the song "loosing you" by the John Butler Trio?

Can't recall, can you sing a verse or two?

My singing is terrible but:

There are things in this life I
would rather not sacrifice.
You girl I cannot live without
and you know there's no doubt that
All I mind's losing you.

Sorry, didn't mean to ditch you like that.  Went to Youtube to check it out and lost BT and became disheveled and disoriented at the unexpected loss.....

Anyway, I have NOT heard it before, but I like it.  Thanks for the mention....  It's touching.

Here is one for you.  It's sad, but I really like it....  Gary Jules - Mad World.  A remake of a Tears for Fears song.

Great video too - creative..

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very mad world ... world
Enlarge your world
Mad world

Have you noticed a shift in TAN recently?

Guess it's part of the evolution, and cyclical nature of TAN.

I recognise the lyrics.. but the tune isn't coming in my head..

You work such long hours..

Not too bad, 7-5 m-thr.  then half day fridays....

They had the song on an intro to a CSI episode and it almost made me cry.  So I found it on Itunes.  Later it was used in a Xbox shoot-em-up game ad.  I think they like the dichotomy of the violent game with the calm sound and dark lyrics of the song.

MM.. you mean a shift in who is here or in the banter?

One caused the other IMO.  But that is to be expected.

A disturbance in The Force?

I won't be around tomorrow, but it would be cool if TAN #30 was called: TAN #30 - We Can't Trust Ourselves Anymore

Let me play with that concept (the star wars angle) - not sure I understand the other.  PM me if you wish....
