This was a very hard event especially since I have not trained at high elevation here in Colorado
What would you do differently?:

do ore high elevation training

hard to describe since I came off the course at mile 13 do tot he elevation taking it's tole on me

Not having trained at high elevation

The race was well put together and organized. I just had not enough experiecen running at high elevation here in Colorado. But still I am ok with it all

I still can't imagine running that road to the summit.  Great job for just being out there to tackle  it. 

What's next running Pike's Peak or Mt Elbert?

Great job for even trying it! If you're anything like me, altitude can cause differing effects each time, so it's hard to predict. I have a high altitude half marathon next weekend, and I'm planning to sleep high the night before, although that can't substitute for training at altitude, I suppose. Congrats for making it thirteen miles!
