Subject: Anyone from the Janesville area???

I moved to Janesville about a year ago from Madison...(miss it terribly) and am wondering if there are any trier's out there in the area.  I just did my first tri this summer, the Big Foot Olympic and was hooked.  I have done the Danskin and am doing the Bangs Lake Oly in a couple of weeks as well.  Would be nice to have some support and connect with people who have similar interests.

Hey - I was born and raised in Janesville.  My parents still live there and there are some great places to ride and run around there.  As you go longer, the ride around lake geneva is a blast.

I know live around bangs lake in the NW suburbs.  Actually have my boat on that lake.

PM me if you have any questions about the area.  Otherwise, I know Janesville used to put on a triathlon around Lions Beach in mid july.  And that would be a great place to meet others.

The YMCA was the one to put on the race at Lions Beach.  Have checked their website and can not find any info on a race this year. 

P.S.  Haven't lived in Janesville for about 12 years, but back then there wasa hole in the fence on the backside of Lions Beach.  It was good for after bar swimming/skinny dipping....or so I was told.
