So I've been in a rut of self-pity, lazyness and dissertation induced stress. Which translates to not training worth a lick since Belfast Marathon on May 5. Sooo...today I got a bug up my bum and decided to enter Pedal for Scotland! So I'll be riding from Glasgow to Edinburgh in one day, on my bike. Praying that it doesn't rain. And the funny thing is...I'm nothing but happy! I clicked the "pay" button, even though I'm kinda skint right now, and I didn't care. It's going to be great.

In case anyone wants to join me (and a couple thousand other nutters in lycra):

Congratulations and good luck!  It sounds like just what you need right now.  I'm climbing out of that rut myself (work induced), and it feels much better to be DOING something.

I have found that the best way to get motivated after being down is to register and pay for the next race!

Yours sounds like a great ride! Enjoy it.
