Subject: Presription Sunglasses

Does anyone have a good recomendation for "wrap-around" prescription sunglasses?  I've found that on my rides (when I get the chance to ride outside), the sunglasses I currently have are of no use in keeping the wind out of me eyes.  Because of this, my eyes tend to tear up quite easily.

Currently, I wear a pair of sunglasses that would probably be called "fashion" sunglasses, i.e. they were bought because they looked good.  I'm now looking for something that works for athletes.  I'm not a fan of contact lenses, so buying a set (or two) and then buying cheap wrap-arounds is not an option.

Any thoughts?

Thanks-

Steve

I just got a pair called "provsport"  I've used them once, and they worked good.  I do need to get some de-fog on them.

I got them at Eyemasters.

Good Luck

I, too, went looking for prescription sunglasses and actually found quite a few non-prescription ones I really liked and my optician said they could put prescription lenses in most higher quality non-script frames. Turns out is's a bit cheaper to do it this way as well.

Rudy Project. You can get a clip insert for them and some of them come with multiply lenses.

Oakley makes prescription sunglasses.  You have to find a local authorized dealer and do it through them.  I have a pair of M-Frames (which are the most common Oakleys that you see on all the track & field athletes, David Duval, etc.) with a set of clear and dark lenses with prescription inserts as an integral part of the lens.  It's worked great for me.
