Finally got into a real gym yesterday so I punished my body - lots of cable-shoulder exercises. They are certianly sore today, however I really wanna go for good swim- nothing too intense. It's okay to work through a little muscle soreness right? (I really should just take a complete break from any activity today, but what's the fun in that when you the afternoon to goof off!)

I say go for it, but be prepared to cut it short if your body tells you to!

Should be fine.  When I swam every day, my shoulders were usually sore.  If you have lots of pain, then I would stop.  Muscle soreness is fine.

Push through the soreness but stop if it becomes pain.  Go ahead and get a swim workout in.

I just got back from my swim and my shoulders feel great! The muscles feel loose and the soreness is alieviated for the most part. I just did a nice 15-20 minute tempo swim, rotating freestyle, breaststroke, and backstroke. Just what I needed to get my day off on the right note. Thanks friends
