Subject: Jello for joints
Has anyone else tried eating Jello daily fo joint pain. Being heavy, my right hip often bothers me after running, a co-worker told me to try eating Jello. I did and noticed a relief the very next day! With additional stretching and a 1/2 cup of sugar free Jello daily, I am pain free in my hip. Just thought I would pass this along for what it's worth.

Haven't tried Jello, but I've definitely gotten hooked on glucosamine/chondroitin for such things. I'm a member at road runner sports so I usually buy their Enduro Joint capsules. Around 20 bucks for a month's supply and it may be placebo, but it sure seems to work. The data out there on glucosamine/chondroitin/SAM/MSM is all for osteoarthritis patients, though, so its use as a recovery aid/preventive thing isn't really proven as far as I know...

On glucosamine and MSM, it is regularly used as maintenance in humans...and horses. I know about horses a lot better than humans, but it is a fantastic resource, especially for horses gettin' on up there in their careers. My 21-year-old ex-racehorse thoroughbred (21 is oooooooooooooollllllld to an ex-racehorse, just FYI), was still beating the hooves off much younger quarter horses in barrel racing, and would take me for a serious thrill ride over cross country jumping. This was due in huge part to his MSM supplements that kept his joints limbered up.
