Comments:

Started out strong and was aiming to see if I could push it through the uphill after the turn-around and then try to hang on the last mile which was mostly downhill (until just before the finish). But at mile 2, I couldn't hold the pace and 2 HS cross country runners who I had been closing on began to hold their distance and then slowly pull out again. Humidity was really tough, but I think my legs just didn't have it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and grabbed some food.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Humidity hurt, but legs just don't seem to have the speed in them right now. Could just be effect of fatigue from recent mileage (highest in my running history).

Event comments:

Nice 5k only a couple miles from my home. Course is moderately challenging for a 5k, but quite fair.

Great job today! Yeah, this humidity is a killer, and I know you've been mentioning fatigue in your legs in your logs for the past week or so. You still did great! Enjoy your day .
