It was nice to see some of you there, although casserole was avoiding me :P .  It was cold though.  Did anyone else start shivering uncontrollably about 15-20 minutes after they were done running?

A belated post, but just wanted to say how cool it was to run into all you guys after the run.  It was kind of funny.  "You're IronGirl?  Hey everyone, this is IronGirl!".

I hope to see you all again soon at a future race!  Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hey Amy, were you trying to be a peacock instead of a donkey in this one?

I would just like to shout out a giant hello and thanks to all of you for welcoming a total interloper into your shenanigans on Saturday.  I'm Stacey and I tagged along with Sandi and Travis on Saturday at the run and had a fantastic time  - although in my dramatic retelling of the story, I will swear up down and sideways that I was completely TAUNTED into running by travis.....

A couple of weeks ago I did the Lakefront Discovery Run and only intended to do the 5k but a combination of really loud headphones and a general disregard of helpful information led me to take a wrong turn and run the 15k instead.  The longest I had ever run was 6 miles.  (And in news that will surely shock, I was rather sore the next day... soooooo weird!)

So Travis, being hilarious, tells me that I should do the run and "accidentally" run the half marathon.  I say, you know what, I will! Luckily I am slightly smarter than I look and only did the 1/6.  Oh and also - he let it slip that there was beer and lasagna at the race.  JACKPOT!

The race itself was completely miserable because I had gotten my arse kicked that morning by Sandi in boot camp - note to all... Sandi is hard core.  Like, for reals. Do not attempt to run (or jog or walk or do laundry or really anything other crossword puzzles) after her 90 minute boot camp on saturdays.

However, miserable race aside - you guys are hilarious and awesome and also, very very fast runners and it was so much hanging out with you.  What a great group!  I had a fantastic time and I look forward to more shenanigans in the near future.

A little slow to respond, but such is the way of a wanna-be donk (yea! half way there!).

I'm bummed I didn't see any donkey clothing, nor the flag.  I was searching you peeps out to finally meet/greet but maybe everyone was gone by the time I came in...or the "here, have some extra beer tickets" goggles kicked in.

Ah well, maybe at the Berbee Derby?

Oh yeah... what was with the two "mile 11" markers???  At first I thought I had doubled my pace between 9 and 11!

Hey Stacey.  You are a riot and I'd be proud to run along with you at any of the Donkey races.  I love your "handle" !  This one suits you to a tee.  I think better than Nashattack.  Welcome.
