I would just like to shout out a giant hello and thanks to all of you for welcoming a total interloper into your shenanigans on Saturday.  I'm Stacey and I tagged along with Sandi and Travis on Saturday at the run and had a fantastic time  - although in my dramatic retelling of the story, I will swear up down and sideways that I was completely TAUNTED into running by travis.....

A couple of weeks ago I did the Lakefront Discovery Run and only intended to do the 5k but a combination of really loud headphones and a general disregard of helpful information led me to take a wrong turn and run the 15k instead.  The longest I had ever run was 6 miles.  (And in news that will surely shock, I was rather sore the next day... soooooo weird!)

So Travis, being hilarious, tells me that I should do the run and "accidentally" run the half marathon.  I say, you know what, I will! Luckily I am slightly smarter than I look and only did the 1/6.  Oh and also - he let it slip that there was beer and lasagna at the race.  JACKPOT!

The race itself was completely miserable because I had gotten my arse kicked that morning by Sandi in boot camp - note to all... Sandi is hard core.  Like, for reals. Do not attempt to run (or jog or walk or do laundry or really anything other crossword puzzles) after her 90 minute boot camp on saturdays.

However, miserable race aside - you guys are hilarious and awesome and also, very very fast runners and it was so much hanging out with you.  What a great group!  I had a fantastic time and I look forward to more shenanigans in the near future.

sorry we missed you......................next time, yell out a big EEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWW................someone's bound to answer!!

Actually, I believe it would be "is" because it is referring back to the "anyone" not back to "sandi and travis"  Anyone is not a plural.

Just a tip from a non-English major who rocks the grammar.

Okay, my extra 2 cents.  Peggy is correct.

Reviewing the sentence, the pronoun "anyone" is the main subject, not "sandi and travis".  The word "anyone" is a singular, not plural, pronoun.
Therefore, "anyone is" is correctly used in the sentence.

However, a comma should have followed the word "plus".

Here's my much belated welcome to you Stacey (I didn't want to get in the middle of the grammar lesson)!  And Dar89, I was wondering if you made it last week or not - we'll have to meet at the Berbee Derby instead.

And, I'm bummed because I took my camera in for a repair and all my Tyranena pictures are on the memory card IN the camera....  I have a great one of Aidana sipping her recovery/reward beer after the 1/2 mary.
