Overall Rank = 29/274
Age Group = 30-34
Age Group Rank = 4/45
Pre-race routine:

I set up for the church service and set my transition.
Event warmup:

Didn't really warm up. I was pretty warmed up from just setting up the sound system and tents for the church service. Plus my hear-rate races when I have to speak in front of people.
Swim
  • 17m 30s
  • 820 yards
  • 02m 08s / 100 yards
Comments:

I sucked big time in the swim. I don't know why I went so slow. I was having a really hard time to stop running into people. I never felt like I got to get going.
What would you do differently?:

Not real sure yet. I am going to do some more splash and dash races to see if I can figure out this mass swim thing. So far I suck at it.
Transition 1
  • 02m 10s
Comments:

Well this would have been about 20-30 seconds faster but I was delirous after the swim and I could not find my bike for a little while. I felt like an idiot!
What would you do differently?:

I really need to get some kind of marker or flag to make sure I can find my bike next time.
Bike
  • 37m 23s
  • 13.75 miles
  • 22.07 mile/hr
Comments:

The bike was a lot of fun for me this time. I did so bad in the swim I had a lot of people in front of me to catch and pass.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Transition 2
  • 01m 4s
Comments:

This transition went well.
Run
  • 22m 57s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 24s  min/mile
Comments:

It was tough to get going on the run. I pushed the bike really hard so I didn't have a lot left in the tank. I started feeling better as the race went on.
What would you do differently?:

Not trip on the rug at the finish. So embarrasing. LOL
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

The SWIM.

Event comments:

It was a good race and I had a lot of fun.

Great Job out there! I am sure that the service you gave was great, and can see by the times that you turned in that you had an awesome race. Your swim time is really respectable, especially in a group swim like that, and what from what i hear the waves were crazy!

Ryan, you are putting together some very solid results. Don't worry about the finish. I saw others do it.
