The course miles have now been repainted on the roads and today had the 1st Kenyan contigent sighting running around the Charles River! (pretty cool)

Marathon weekend is fast approaching and even when I am not running it is very exciting to have so many runners in town. Anyway, I am hitting the expo on Friday around 3ish pm and again on Saturday around 2-3pm if some one wants to say hello.

See ya then!

I will reiterate my offer to host BTers post marathon - I am volunteering at the finish line med tent, so not sure how late I need to 'work' but happy to have a party at my house -

will start a new thread to see if there is interest....

I'm in and out pretty quick so I couldn't make a post race, but I might be able to meet up Sunday. Let me know....and please be obvious. I'm an out-of-towner, so "Jack's Pub", or "Where we start our weekly rides" doesn't help me. I'll need directions.

I'm in the same boat. Except Saturday hoping to get out of Denver after the snow.

Mark what's your goal? Do you have a plan for the race? Keep the same pace throughout / negative split.

I'm shooting for sub 3. Relax and pull the reigns back for the first 10K and keep it loose until 16 and then push the hills and let the crowd pull me home. I'd love to negative split Boston.

Looks like I need to fix some fencing that the horses have torn apart before I leave tomorrow so I won't be in town until later in the afternoon. I hope to meet up with some folks for a run or swim on Sunday.

My cell phone # is (607)237-5831. I'll be on the road after noon and should be in Boston, or Framingham by 5:00. Hope to hear from some BTers!!

I'm 4089.

I have no goal but to enjoy it.  I can't possibly shoot for a PR after finishing a 100-mile ultra just 16 days prior to this marathon.  I'm BQ'd for next year already so next year I'll try for a time.  This time it's all about the BM experience.

In response to: "Anybody doing anything Monday night after napping and limping around and what not?"

I am driving back home to Burlington VT. Boston will be my first marathon, like buying a Harley for your first bike I suppose. (running for Dana Farber, brain cancer - my running partner has it, a real inspirationl guy from Rhode Island) Our young sons will be waiting at the finish.

Our goal? To cross the finish; on top of that <4hrs would be awesome.

If you have your health, you have everything. RUN STRONG GUYS!

I just got into Framingham. Is there anything going on tonight? I'm planning on heading in to Boston early tomorrow for breakfast then picking up my packet from there. I hope to see some BTers around town! I'd love to get a swim or run in tomorrow if anyone is up for it.

TriToy - This is a wonderful gesture on your part.  I don't think the response is there, b/c of the logistics of getting to your house and many of us have spouses/family with us.

In talking with Joe (jszat), many of us out-of-towners would like to hit up the Boston scene a bit after the race.  Is there a place for us all to meet up after the race somewhere in the downtown area?  That might be our best bet to limit travel and all?

Also, any suggestions on a meet up in Hopkinton - pre-race?  I know some people are going out tonight.  Have you decided on a location?

Hope to see some of you out there.

I'm going to be driving to the start line and parking there. I should be there before 7:00 and will have a dark blue sweatshirt with Binghamton on it before the race and I think either an Aquaphor tech shirt for the race or my IMKY BT bright yellow shirt, I haven't decided yet.

I was hoping to see some people down at the expo today but unfortunately didn't. Hope to see some of you tomorrow and if not, GOOD LUCK and HAVE A BLAST!!!
