Yeah! Finally got some crappy points.  Runs on Friday and today in heavy snowfall- really very beautiful.  Almost too warm at 29 or so,  don't want to see any rain mixing with those pretty flakes.....  No wind to speak of though ;-)  Happy snow everyone!!

I am ready for a little less crappy weather, I have had 9 below zero workouts so far in December and I know there will be another one tomorrow morning.

Finally posted some points again! Went for a gorgeous snowshoe behind my house. Just a quick 1.5 mi, but the woods were just beautiful. At one point, I was past-mid-thigh deep in SNOWSHOES! My hip flexors hurt from lifting them out of the snow.

I will say, though, I chickened out. I let it warm up from -11F to -2F before heading out. Made sure I got out before it got to 0, though, so I'd still get my 8 pt multiplier! With absolutely no wind (none - there was NO snow falling from very heavily-laden trees), it did not feel very cold at all, even though my hair froze and my eyebrows froze to my glasses.

Hoping I laid down a good track that will harden up into a good running path for the winter, if the snowmobiles don't kill it.

First workout in December that I didn't earn any points, temp in the 40's this morning. We are supposed to get snow tonight so maybe I can still get some points when I walk the dog tonight.

Boy, the cold weather last week got people a LOT of points! Yikes! I'm all behind now, I'll have to find somewhere good and cold (top of a mountain should do it) to rack up some last minute Dec points.

Santa put a new thermometer in my stocking so I know how many crap points I'm getting!

Man the weather here in Calgary is made for this challenge. A whole month of sub 32 and most sub 15 and quite a few sub 0.

Also, doing some walking to and from work this week because of parking. Getting some points for that. Big week for me, I have a feeling.

Is THAT how you went rocketing ahead? Hmm.... Too bad I can't walk to work. Well, I could, but by the time I walked home it would be time to turn around and walk back.

Went for a really nice snowshoe bushwhack today. Felt nice, and racked up some good points to boot. not sure my hip flexors are gonna agree tomorrow.

So I know I have no chance of catching up to you all, but I am going to keep reporting my meager points as they accumulate.  Snowy run yesterday grabbed a few as did today's polar bear plunge. Photo documentation on my blog.  Hope you all are off to to crappy 2009!

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!!! Sorry I haven't been around much. When I was in Montana the snow was too deep and the windchill too low. In Central Washington it's usually too warm. I guess I just can't be pleased I am getting some points here and there though. Definitely won't be winning this challenge, but I'm still having fun keeping score when the weather cooperates

Ha, I sometimes walk to work from my wife's work, but I havent logged it. It is short, 30 minutes round trip. But, had this cold snap this week and saw some big points. However, I think most of my points have come from outdoor runs and one short snowshoeing hike.

This week was big for me, 5 hours running, plenty of it below 15F. Looks like it may be warming up for this week, which I am just fine with. Getting sick of the old.

Went for a big hike on Saturday, finished off the spreadsheet month with a bang! Temps were 0-5F most of the time, except on the summit where they FINALLY got below zero. My companions think I'm nuts that I keep checking the temp gauge to see if it has gotten below zero yet. LOL!

I got my biggest points so far yesterday! I did a 12 mile run at 18 degrees with a 6mph wind, Woo Hoo! I know it's not much compared to most of you, but I was pretty pleased with myself

Just so you all know I hid November and December weekly's so that we can see January without too much trouble.  If you need to change something they are easily unhid.

Have a "crappage" filled day - except LumberDad.  May it turn 50 and no wind for at least 2 months so we can catch up

Looks like we are going to have more cold weather. I have a snowshoe race at the end of the month so I need to get some extra snowshoeing in also.

New standings are up.

Big weekend for a couple (slugger and bigdh) and a great month by Lumberdad has him way out front.

Keep up the great work.  I have snuck some good stuff in lately.  Now that my bug is gone I will hopefully get some more going!

That's right baby's, I am out to PLAY, know what I am saying. I actually have some mixed thoughts about the chinook coming in bringing temps to 32, todays run got me less than 200 points, same run last couple weeks was good for 600+, oh well, guess I will have to run longer, ha. If I am lucky, and the weather stays nice, I will get some legnthy snowshoeing in on Saturday.
