Event comments: After mile 2 in the race I was feeling awesome so I decided to race and go for it. I will be running Boston marathon so I decided to run it at marathon goal pace and for my surprise I had a PR. I felt strong, for most of the race. I average a pace of 7:37 for the first 4 miles then I dropped it to 7:26 the next 6 miles and achieved a booming 6:13 the last 3.1 miles! It was awesome... It is amazing how fast you can get after the long slow run sessions :) Last updated: 2005-03-01 12:00 AM

Wake up took a long hot shower and massage my ankle a bit. (I suffered a sprain ankle a week before so I wasn't sure whether I was going to be able to just race, runs slow or at all)I had my regular coffee with skim milk, a bagel with peanut butter, and 32 oz of Gatorade
Drove to Hyannis, 1:30 min but stop at dunkin donuts for my Boston creme, mmmmm!
Got there, registered for the race and relax for a few min. started stretching slowly and warmed up my ankle thoroughly. At that point I knew I was going to be able to run but I was going to take it ease the first miles. I decided if I get any sort of pain I will stop right away!
