Well I am back and starting over, well maybe not completely over, but pretty close to it.  I decided to vlog the comeback and have set that up at http://whenbigboystri.wordpress.com/

Hope to get to know some of the faces that are around here as I get back with the program.

In life you can always start over.  I know that feeling myself.  After 3 years of racing 7 marathons, 5 ultra marathons and 2 HIMS I was finally able to get under 300 lbs myself.  Now I am starting to slip and put some of the weight back on and I do not feel I have the endurance I once have.

I too feel like I am starting over myself but its not the first time and its not the last time.  Hang in there.  We will all be here for you.

Thanks for being so honest about your experience, Michael! Your story is encouraging to me and I'll be watching the blog. I'm into week 8 of your total sprint program and I'm really enjoying it. The runs bumped up too quickly, so I use the conservative couch to 5K program instead.

Keep up the good work!

I'm impressed with your vblogging skills and your determination. I saw the CBS story too. Very nice. Very nice indeed. Welcome back Michael.

I started training in January, 2006 because of your story.  You inspired me to get started, keep going, and now start a comeback of my own.

 Good Luck!

Thanks for all the comments.  As of Saturday I was down about 4.5 pound and have made my workouts.

I am still vloging daily at http://whenbigboystri.wordpress.com/

Before anybody thinks Iam trying to take anything away from BT I'm not.  I still hold Ron and BT as great assests in the tri community.  Once again just giving my daily thoughts.

I read your story in May. It was the one that got me into this sport. I was 340lbs I am now 307 and dropping. I have run 3 Tri's and one 5K.

Good luck. Keep people coming to the sport. And thank you for your story.
