No, not the latest musical group. In a recent swimming thread, there was some mention of swimming with a band or ankle lock. What kind of workouts or drills would you do with one? Is it mostly for learning balance? Are other toys optional or recommended with a band, for instance: a pull buoy, paddles, or something else? Is there anything you shouldn't be doing with one? Does anyone have links to more information about using a band?

IMO an ankle lock is better and for drills, just swim! I call it the "don't drown" drill. start with a couple 100 sets and build up to 5-10. You can alternate some stes with ankle lock other just swim to reinforce the feel and it will help your balance and stroke lots

I'd swim with Beyonce's band.

Just swim with it!  And not too much at a time. I am a reasonable swimmer technique wise (or so I have been told) and found it hard.  Using a pull buoy would defeat the object of i.

200-1000 sets using interval distance of 25, 50 or 100 -- 10-20s rest depending on recovery needs.  Hold good form, full stroke length, head down, NO dolphin kicking...

Thanks very much for the tips everyone! Speedo ankle lock on order.
Hoping I can figure out the "don't drown" part.
