I do not want to repeat last years swim course! Please pray for good karma this year, and it will be flat and smooth on the water. Smile

Ha!  Hopefully not.  Maybe the run this year if I can hold you off that long.

Don't they call that IMAZ?

Did IMAZ in November, and race day was nice, but the two days before, is was plain old nasty. I didn't think it could on such a small pond.

Actually heard the weather forecast for Silverman '09 - "Gail force wind, 10' surf, bring your boards! Surf's up"

I have vowed not to drink any beer and waterski at the same time in order to avoid tearing my hammy again.  8 months later and just started to train again...  I WILL SEE YOU GUYS AT THIS YEARS RACE AND NOT AS A VOLUNTEER....!!!!!

You must do it. If you don't... then you will sit around for another year wishing you had done it. It will beckon to you until you quench your thirst for Silver.

I am on my 3rd... I love the Silver... can't get enough!

Ran it by the boss (wife) and the coach.    Boss expects this kind of thing.  Coach thinks it's a good idea since I'll be trained up for SOS.......

Perhaps what is attractive about it is the very real fear that I don't know that I could finish it

I see two thumbs up behind you my friend, so the only way to know if you can be a Silverman, is to jump in that water and start it!!

I personally think you should have no problems, and if you need some training on the course, our guest room is open my friend! Come out, and play with the Vegas group!! Great masters group also Frank has. I think you can take that swim also. Cheers!

Please....  You can finish...

You are better than I, and I did it...

Now finish under 10 hours?  Maybe not.

As long as you want it... you can do it.

Add some time to your normal swim, normal bike, and normal run too. Seems like people are about 1 - 1 1/2 hours slower @ Silverman than on the other IM distance courses.... most of my extra time being in the water... LOL

Anyone see the coverage on Universal Sports?  It was really well done!  I even saw a glimps of myself a couple times!

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm suddenly pumped up for a repeat...

I knew the weather sucked, but boy, it seemed even worse than I thought based on the coverage...

You will find at least 4 shops in town.
Southwest Bikes, Pro Cyclery, Las Vegas Cyclery and McGhies bikes shops. Some of them also rent bikes if your bike is totaled.

Welcome to the Silverman, and have a great race. Many new improvements and suprises for our 5th anniversairy race.

Cheers,

Hans

Surprises?  Don't we typically get enough surprises at this on?

We're just trying to have some addictional things for our 5 year anniversary. Can't say more than that. Just continue recruiting other people, and you'll all have a blast. We do take care of all our athletes.

Good luck!
