jrcody - 2009-05-23 1:48 AM Good Morning Everyone!! Looks like the local running club wants me to do a 12 hour endurance race with them the first saturday in August. I will probably do that race and look for an Oly tri in July. How is everyone else doing?

That sounds great! Will you be doing the 12 hours on your own, or as part of a team?

Each person will be doing the race as an individual.

Wow! 12 hour event! That sounds awesome!

It's a rainy, blah day here.  Overall things are good from my end. I am learning about that balance thing. Balancing training, rest and work. It's a tricky thing. I feel good today but will definitely need to take it easy this week and next with a half marathon on the weekend.

The half marathon sounds interesting. It's a women's only event and they're doing a chocolate station and firefighters on the course ... and i should be able to PR since I haven't done a half marathon since early in 2007 - my previous pb is 2:16 ... so here's hoping the weather holds out and i'll be reporting it for real!

take care everybody!

Hi team! Whats been happening? Not much by the look of it!!!

I fly out to Canada tomorrow night and I'll be gone for 2 weeks. I'm going to Vancouver for my cousin's wedding! I don't know how much online time I'll get when I am away but if I get a chance to check in I will.

Happy training and good luck to all of you that are racing while I'm away!

Good Morning,
Well I have now officially retired from the Air Force after a quarter of a century and my new job needs me to move to San Diego CA. So for the next two weeks my training is going to continue to be on the light side. Because of the move I still have not committed to a summer race. i really need to decide so that I have a goal to work toward. How about everyone else??

Congratulations on the retirement and all the best for your move! I can see how it would be tricky to find a summer race to commit to - maybe something towards the end of summer, so you can focus on your move now and the race later

Good morning everyone, from Canada!

I am having a wonderful time in Vancouver with my family. I can't swim or cycle but I am going to try to get out for a run every morning to burn off the great food & booze!

How is everyone else doing?
