It seems someone would have to be pretty bold to go digging through a bag to find stuff

Bold and in some case, very odd too. There was a period where things were disappearing from peoples gym bags here at the hospital gym...specific things...as in ladies panties and guys boxers. I had a sweaty t-shirt and boxers taken from on top of my gym bag while I was in the shower for a quick rinse before going back to work. Went out to tell the front desk and there was a lady there saying she had her panties taken at the same time my stuff was taken. Found out that 5 or 6 ladies over a few day period had panties taken...

A panty raid at the gym...now that's a new one! LOL It's bizarre, yet it doesn't surprise me all that much.

I lock it...

Though one day went back to the locker room after my workout to take a shower only to find my lock and everything in the locker was gone.   There was a note telling me they had my stuff at the front desk.

Come to find out I put my stuff in a locker that someone already had something in!  Could have fooled me, since when I opened the locker (same locker I try to use every time I'm there,,, and it's located in a far back corner), anyways, when I opened it, I didn't see anything there.  I'm short so I didn't have a good look at the top of the shelf, but from what I did see, there wasn't anything there.  I hung up my stuff, put things on the top shelf and my bag on the bottom.

Needless to say because this person couldn't get into the locker to get whatever tiny item must have put on the top shelf, they had the people at the Y CUT my lock off and all my stuff got tossed in a bag.    I was ticked!      Why would someone put something small on a top shelf of a locker in a far back corner of the locker room and not lock it.

Rogillio, I could have used you at the gym that day...   I would have perfered someone wanting to know who put a lock on their locker instead of having my lock cut off.   The Y did give me a new lock at no charge, but it was a boring grey lock and not a nice colored one like I had.

I now stand on the bottom of the locker floor and take a good look on the top shelf now before I lock up my stuff.

Live and learn, I guess...

Probably hid their wallet or keys in there so they didn't have to lock it.  Serves them right...

Nobody took my drawers. I did an impromptu survey at my gym last night and this morning. There were very few locks. My sleepy suburb must be safe (I lock though).

I plan on bringing post it notes with me in case I forget my lock. I will, in at least 1 inch letters, write the words, "IN USE" if I have to use a locker without a lock. I promise not to cause you any delay in finding a locker. However, after you save 1.5 millisececonds, have fun waiting for cardio equipment for 20 minutes with all the newbies!!! Just kidding, it will be more like 35 mins.

Have a great weekend, don't lock you car, house, or locker...what they hell, leave your fly down, and lets all live FREE!!!

I always lock.  There has been vandalism at the Y I go to.  Even if you have nothing of value, sometimes kids can be messing around in the locker room "funny" and mess with your stuff.

I also use a Yale padlock instead of a Master lock like 99.9% of people.  When I have occassionally forgotten my lock and having a differnt kind of lock it's easy to pick out of the lost and found.

No lock here. The only thing of value that is ever left in the locker is car keys. Cr is set not to beep or flash lights. Plus a lock only effective in keeping an "honets" person honest.

However, I never thought of courtousy factor so from now on I'll tag my locker with a twistie tie or something.

That is great I love that!!!  I could not believe this at all.  Is it normal order that the men's is always the first door?  Good question!!  Anyone notice this!

I always lock....only thing I had stolen was a towel....a TOWEL????!!! saw a guy drying off and realized that he had my towel. Told him that he took my towel and he was taken aback....no it was his...until i pointed out that my name was in sharpie on the tag....

still...drying off with paper towels is no way to end a workout..:-)
