kentiger - 2005-03-18 11:07 AM Okay..time for a guy to chime in here (since the thread topic is likely to scare most of them off).

Thanks for representing the male perspective.

And I can't straighten mine without reserving 2 hours and getting a rotator cuff strain from all the pulling and brushing... pulling, brushing....

I think we need to have a guy get a makeover. After all, it's springtime and I'm sure there are many guys out there that need to shave off that facial hair and get a good cut, not to mention shave those hairy legs.

Waiting for a before and after of a guy makeover,
Bethany

BTW, Renee, the cut suits you better than it did Audrey. Love it!

WOW!   I am going to go get mine cut again too!   I have been trying to grow it back after my half IM last August and this is the kicker!  Renee it looks great and can I use your pictures to take to the salon?

Only if you promise to post your pics!

Whiz-

I love your hair! As someone who has had short hair pretty much all my life (whenever I get the bright idea to grow it out I am painfully reminded of how thin/fine it is), I have tried several (many) perms back in the day to get those curls. Curls and long hair......curse my brother for getting the thick wavey hair and me getting the straight as a board thin hair.

Now I am actually pretty happy with the short hair, makes getting ready for work after a swim oh so fast. The only time I wish I had long hair is when I am going to something formal, I pretty much have the same hair for running as I do for formalwear.

Renee, I love the new do!!  It looks really nice on you!!

Whiz--love the curls!  My daughter has curly hair too, long and tight ringlets.  It's a battle every morning to brush it.  We both have very thick hair and lots of it!  We kept hers cut short when she was little, and she  looked like she was sporting a fro!  Now it's long and beautiful (most days!).  She has won the "best hair" title in almost all of the pageants she's been in!!

My gosh you guys... thanks for the nice hair-words!!! It's taken me all of my 34 years to accept my hair as is... and nearly that long to find a good hair PRODUCT or combination of products!
You always want what you don't have... I know I know... I wanted to be Marcia Brady when I was little... Long straight... 100 brush-strokes a day...my mop has never seen a brush when dry!
Thanks again... and Renee... still love **YOUR** new 'do. Happy Friday everyone!

Add me to the list of those who like Renee's hair. I've always liked short hair on women. A while back my wife had hers cut like Nicole Kidman's in the movie "Birth"...kinda like in the photo below.

Renee, your haircut looks great! Your face shines...cheek bones, eyes and great smile. I'm one of those with the long curly hair (along the ted nugent lines). I have to put a ton of product in my hair to keep it more curly than freezy. UGH. I tried short hair once a long time ago, (mistakenly only weeks before my wedding), and it looked like an afro. I'm way to scared to try it again. I use a straightener sometimes for a change, but once i'm out of the pool, YIKES...what a mess.

If my cut would like yours, i'd do it

meanwhile, i'm still in search of the ultimate keep your hair dry swim cap!!

Shazaam! Nice cut.

Yeah, I have to say good decision. It serves you well.

You match Suzy Derkins now. Have you been having tea parties with Hobbes?

The new haircut looks great!

I think I may be one of the few that likes long hair and it isn't a hassle. If I want it out of the way I just put it up in a bun or ponytail. I had my hair cut really short once when I was in 3rd grade and hated it. It's been long ever since. I guess I just like having the long Renaissance-style hair. Yeah, it may be a bit hippie-ish and an outdated style, but ah well.

Since we're all posting pics of our hair, I'll join in

you look fabulous, pirategirl!

My hair won't grow that long - stops at just below the shoulders (wet and straight length, not dry and curly) regardless of the fortune of products I use.

I will some day try again..... for now I am sassy!

Hmm... You look a bit like Jamie Lee Curtis (from "True Lies") in that pic. Except perhaps for age. You look younger.

Nice 'do. I'd keep it.
