Which tire provides the best of all things...Weight, Protection, Speed, & Handling.  I know there are trade offs in all categories based on a "flat protection" tire but I really don't want to change them any more than absolutely required....

I'll be using these for both training and racing....

Thanks,

Casey

Michelin Pro3 Race.  Use them for both training and racing.  One flat in 3K miles.

I used Gator skins before that and never had any flats, but they were heavier and didn't "feel" as fast (to be fair, the speed thing was more me than the tires    )

X2, with really no "tradeoffs."

I'll add that I've gotten 5K+ miles out of two sets of the predecessor Pro2Races. Even if "durability" wasn't one of your listed criteria.

Cool

I'm not thrilled with pro3 race but tried them because of all the rave reviews. I took them off to put trainer tire and the OEM tire on and never got around to putting the pro3s back on.

I've gone with Conti GP 4000 and I have found them to be the tires I like best.

x3, I have used the older model Pro2Race tires each lasted 3-4K miles. It is by far the number one tire I see out there at tris.

Thumbs up to probikekit.com too...I buy lots from them...Dura Ace chains for $25 10 speed, new pedals, 10 speed ultegra cassettes...great prices on most everything.

I prefer Vredestien Fortezza Tri Comps for their flat resistance, durability and performance. They give, IMHO, the best of all comprimises and are a great every-day all arounder.

Love my Michelin Pro2's. I've tried a few others brands but just don't have the confidence I have when riding on the MP2's

Hope the tires and probikekit.com are as good as you guys say.  I had a horrendous ride yesterday with flats on my tires (old and need replacement anyway), so I decided try to the Pro3.  I also found a new seatpost and brakes for my roadie build at a GREAT price.  I can't wait to get em in.  Do they take a while for shipping?

Edited to correct subject verb agreement in first sentence.

I have ordered many times from PBK... have gotten 2 items in 5 days or less.

Very low prices , very fast shipping and they have answered my 2 emails immediately.

You will most likely not find those tires anywhere close to that price.
