So what's everybody racing this season?  I've got a few I've got signed up for and a couple more I'm thinking about entering.

Chinook Winds - I'd like to do this one to start my season off, but I'm not sure if I should go with the HIM or Oly distance.

Canmore Triathlon Oly - registered

Ironman 70.3 - registered

Alberta Challenge Oly/HIM - thinking about it...

Vancouver Triathlon Oly - registered

This season will be my first crack at the HIM distance.  I'm nervous about it.  I want to finish the Ironman 70.3 feeling like I raced well and not just finished...know what I mean?  This is kind of why I want to race a HIM in the Chinooks Winds event.  Just to work out kinks and get a HIM event in before my "A" race, the 70.3.  On the other hand, my first event of the season and it's a HIM?  I don't know if I have the will, to be honest.

Well, I'm completely non-commital as of today. But the tentative plan is:

Chinook Oly
Sylvan Lake Half
Lake Chaparrel Oly

I might add a sprint or two, a couple of ITTs, and a half mary if time/money allows.

So far the Hinton Sprint Tri on June 7th, and the Edmonton Underwear Affair (10k) June 20th. I might do a few more, but I'm not sure just yet.

I ended up entering the Chinook Winds Oly on June 20th.  It'll be the first race of the season for me.  Hopefully the weather turns so I can get some more saddle time.  This past week in Calgary sure has been depressing...

Hey there fellow weather challenged Bertans. Anybody else contemplating drinking the Jonestown Kool Aid after this so called spring!!

1. My first ever tri is Summerside June 7 - sprint registered
2. Canmore - will reg. for sprint asap.
3. Alta Challenge - possibly register for Oly.

Also considering driving to Penticton to watch maybe volunteer at the Suburu. Who knows if I get enough liquor in me I might even sign up!

Good luck to you guys and maybe we'll exchange blows during the swim!!

I am in for the Vikingman HIM in Burley Idaho on June 6th.  It will be my first triathlon and perhaps my only this year.

Yes. Now that the Canucks are done, I'm cruising the forums. The Calgary 70.3 is going to rock as there are a few BCBT'ers coming out to cow town. Anyone racing it is more than welcome to entertain us for a beer or two for a meet and greet! We may even let you touch us if you buy us a drink! Hope your weather holds up for a while, you guys have been hammered with some brutal weather!
