Subject: RE: What to do about a blood blister? If you pop it, you effectively turn a closed wound into an open wound. Worse yet, you will create an open puncture wound, which is highly susceptible to secondary infection and virtually impossible to clean. My advice is to leave it alone, put moleskin around it with a hole cut in the middle or wear some extra socks while you are training. Eventually, the dead skin will peel away and you will be nearly 100% healed. Even then, avoid peeling away the skin by pulling on it or trimming it. You run the risk if removing skin that is alive which will create an open wound. Just let the skin fall off on it's own.
Your body will take care of it's self, just give it a chance.
Lastly, take a second look at your shoe style and fit. Good luck
