Pre-race routine:

Got up at 5 and changed then took the bus over to the race venue with my diet coke :) No warmup really I just hung out and watched the people.
Event warmup:

Drinking diet coke? Stretched a bit.

Comments:

Untimed race. Very intersting mix of people.
1-The newbies. People who you could tell it was their first race and they were all aquiver with excitement
2-The people who someone in their family made them sign up and they were none too happy about it
3-People who had actually done a race before
4-People who were head to toe in Boston Marathon garb.....OK its an UNTIMED 5K...get overyourself woohoo yay you, you ran Boston.....like 98% of this crowd knew what that meant
5-People wearing jeans or golf attire

At any rate it was an entertaining mix. Moms running with their kids etc. This was inteneded as a warmup for the 1/2 next day. It seemed like a good idea when I signed up :) I just ran easy and tried to not let the golfer beat me. I was happy with my time considering I didn't really try
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. It was a race for fun and I had fun.
Post race
Warm down:

Got some fluids and boarded the bus back to the hotel.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

No desire?

Event comments:

Nice little 5K. It was fun. Not sure if a warm up race is a smart idea for me but not regrets :)

Nice job Sue, but um, don't you think 24hrs is a little early for a warm up jog.
