Swim
Comments: Went out fast and was too excited. Breathing hard at first. Had to pass a guy on 2nd length. Got into a good rhythym at 150 yds. Passed a couple of others as they slowed near end. What would you do differently?: Work on smooth pace, turns and underwater glide. After exiting pool, dropped cap and goggles on deck. Stopped and picked up costing 15 seconds. Transition 1
Comments: Trouble getting wet feet into bike shoes. Sat on ground. Shoe slipped getting into clips. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Put left shoe in securely before mounting. Bike
Comments: Overall felt great. Road was partly wet. Passed about 15 riders and was passed by 2. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to gearing. Transition 2
Comments: Accidently shifted off big ring for a bit before I realized it. Going too fast into dismount area. Forgot to get out of shoes. Unclipped shoes but slight fall on dismount to avoid a crash in front of me. Lost some knee skin. Took time to get out of shoes before putting on run shoes. What would you do differently?: Lesson learned - slow down and exit shoes earlier. Practice dismount 25 times before next race. Run
Comments: Felt very tight wtihout spring for first 1/2 nile. Messed around putting number belt on. Had to stop and walk to get it on. What would you do differently?: Stand up and stretch on bike before. Get a better number belt. Post race

Age Group = 55-59
Age Group Rank = 5/10
Arrived at 0630, parked, set up transition in dark, ate bagel with jelly, water, and swam 4 lengths in pool. Drank 1 pack of Hornetjuice at 0745. Race started at 0800 but my start was 0916. Stretched and sat until my time.
