Soaked em in Apple Juice, Kosher salt and water mix overnight.  Dried 'em off this morning and rubbed a 2 to 1 mix of brown sugar & kosher salt on them.  Put 'em on the smoker for 2 hrs.  (I left during this time so DW did the next part)  Wrapped 'em in foil and put in the oven for 2 hrs.  Unwrapped and put 'em back on the smoker for 1 1/2 hrs with bbq sauce on the last 15 minutes.

Samples are tasting pretty tasty.  Now we're waiting for guests to arrive.

I had to dig this thread up as I'm smoking ribs again this weekend and needed the recipe I used in the past.  ~14lbs of ribs are soaking.

I know no one will believe me, but this recipe produces some of the most tender I've ever eaten without using a smoker...and I sell ribs for a living!

season ribs with salt and pepper

place them on a bed of shreaded cabbage, top with more cabbage seal in tinfoil, don't make the foil to tight on the ribs give it some space for steam.

Cook for 2-2.5 hours at 225ish remove from foil and grill with favorite sauce for 10 mins or so.

You can eat the cabbage if you want but I don't care for cabbage so I just trash it.
They come out so moist that the meat falls off the bone.
