I'm really liking the Zoot Ultra tri shorts. I've got Mooseman coming up and I'm torn between those and the Oomph Kahuna shorts for it. Both keep me from chafing and both are rather comfortable to run two hours in them. I believe either will be great to use for it.

I agree. Zoot makes great stuff and has never let me down. Just don't forget a suitable amount of body glide as well no matter what shorts you choose.

Count me in for Zoot shorts as well; wore Zoot tri shorts for racing and training. And to add onto the post above, I think Bodyglide is one of the best products they ever came out with. I use it religiously to stop chafing on long rides and to stop nipple soreness from sweaty wicking shirts on long runs. Plus it's great for the kids at the beach, especially my skimboarding maniacs.

I wore a pair of Pearl Izumi Select tri shorts in my first 70.3. I had a little chafing but nothing terrible. I then bought a pair of De Soto Forza tri shorts that I wore on long training days leading up to my first Ironman. Ended up wearing the De Soto's for entire race at Ironman Louisville. Obviously, fit is different for everyone, but I love the De Soto's. It was a hot day and I was dumping water on myself all day long so I was always wet. No issues at all.

I've always used a model of De Soto shorts for the HIM, but recently used the riviera tri bibs (the ones with the biger pad, i think riviera) at IM Canada, and they were great.  I only wear cycling bibs, so I wanted bibs for the tri as well.
