| (WEEK OF MAY 7th)
Well, we were looking to start the swims this Thursday (May 7th), but after taking the lake temperature today we're waiting another week. It was 58 today and with the forecast for the week it doesn't look like it will warm up at all. Last year we started at 62 degrees and my hands and feet were ice cubes...my head felt like one great big ice cream headache...I can't imagine going in when it's 4 degrees COLDER than that!
The lake warms up quickly and I'm sure by next week we'll at least be in the mid 60's.

| Try the Sea Isle City Triathlon Memorial Day Weekend! I believe it was 54 degrees last year! I swam the course with my head completely up - out of the water! |

Silver member | Weather.com is forecasting T-storms for Thursday. I'd love to get in an OWS before Columbia. I won't worry until later in the week.

| The Open Water Swim is still on for tonight 5/14 as of now 10:45 am however it does not look promising. We will make the final call at about 2:30 today so check back then.
Also someone asked if you can swim at the Lake on weekends. Unfortunately I don't believe the lake offers guest passes anymore so you could only come if you were a member. Secondly you can only swim in the designated area (roped off area) which is very shallow and small so I don't think you would benefit from it.
If you are in the Jersey area I would contact the Jersey Shore Triathlon Club as they host OWS in the bay starting this week or next. The information is on their website jstriclub.com. |

| The Open Water Swim is ON for tonight 5/14. Please make sure you READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS posted on our website especially parking as the lot is limited. Additional parking is located on Jefferson Ave.
When approaching the lake turn left (away from the lake) onto Jefferson Ave proceed up the road and park on Buttonwood and Jefferson.
You must have a VALID PHOTO ID AND/OR USAT CARD or you cannot swim. Please respect this policy.
Water temp is 66.

| Hello: I live in Glenside which isn't very far from Hatbroo- is the Lake hard to find? I spoke with the gentleman from CGI and was told you don't need to RSVP- just show up. |

| For an address to GPS just use the intersection of:
Maple Ave and Jefferson Ave
Wenonah, NJ 08090
It's pretty easy to get to from the highway. |

| How was the swim last Thursday (5/14)? I am doing the sea isle tri this Saturday and planning on going to Lake Wenonah this thursday night. As someone else posted earlier, last year the ocean temp for the sea isle tri was FREEZING. Is the swim on for this Thursday (5/21)?
Thanks |

Yes, we're on for this Thursday (weather permitting). Last week wasn't too cold...about 66. I'm hoping to break 70 this week. |

Silver member | I was going to come right from work tonight but I forgot to pack my wet suit, or any swim suit... or a towel. I did pack all my bike stuff for a ride at lunch and I knew I was forgetting something when I left the house. I hate when that happens. Looks like great weather too. |

| Remember, there is NO swim this week because of the Black Bear Triathlon.
FYI...there probably will not be on the following week either due to our daughters graduation (I'll confirm once get the date...seriously what's with a "graduation" EVERY single year of school???") |

| Just have a quick question. The website says you'll need to but a daily USAT membership for $10, but this thread says don't come without the membership card. I assume that you can buy the daily membership @ the lake on Thursday night from 6-8, but I'd hate to drive up to find out what assuming got me...
Can I buy one when I get there?
Thanks! |
