try to make myself eat a bagel with PB. Ate a banana, stretched.

Comments:

felt I ran strong. Missed my time goal but am still pleased with my first half marathon performance. Seeing family along the way made a huge difference in my race, it was so awesome to hear them cheering for you and know they believed in you to do it.
What would you do differently?:

not take as much water in the beginning. Due to the rain and cool temperature I wasn't sweating as much as normal and ended up with a full bladder (boo)
Post race
Warm down:

big mistake here, hardly walked after. Left knee and ankle really hurt. am paying for it today with extremely tight quads.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

started out a bit too fast, the excitement got to me and I was jumping over puddles and expending too much energy working through my nervousness.

Event comments:

lots of fluid stations in the beginning, then sporatic from 7-11.
