Thanks man!  It was a fun race for sure.  The Island is beautiful to say the least and it's a very well put on event.

I had to hold off Neal off for most of the race and when he surged on me I barely responded.  I think he let me beat him...but don't tell him that.

He couldn't beat you.  It would ruin the sandbagger image he has spent years developing.  Everybody who has raced or riden with Neal has seen him hold back and let us win.

Great Race though!

You guys are toooo funny.  Everyone knows that I am not fast.  Everyone that I personally know that was at the race beat me as usual.  I did however sprint to the finish when Dan shouted encouragement.  I looked like a real racer there for about 200 yards of the 30 mile race.      However, with that current in the ocean EVERYBODY swims fast.  I think the slowest 1500m swim was about 26 minutes.  I was very disappointed that there were no jellyfish or sharks to liven the swim up this year.   Scott and Steven McKies did good.  I WAS faster than last year however.  That is what counts for me.

Now, Dan did do great,  3rd Place overall with a time brushing one hour.  He was only a couple of hours faster than me though.

Thanks! We did have a big group! Peachtree Tri Club is actually a club ITP, I think Peachtree City has their own club!  Saw a couple North Atlanta peeps there but don't know anyone well enough to come up and say hi!

Sorry about that, we discussed that.  I type by thinking words instead of spelling them out.  I did not even realize that I had put the word City in there.  I am now educated between the difference in Peachtree Tri Club and and Peachtree City Tri Club.  You guys have the cool looking yellow jerseys.

That was my 1st triathlon and I had a blast.  Did 1 duathlon before that.  I was in the sprint but after that am eyeballing some olympic and possibly a half-ironman that is in Augusta late this year.  My goal is to just finish that race considering 4 months ago I could barely run 1 mile on a treadmill (no hills) at 5mph.

I have some pictures from the race.  If you see your picture on my flickr you are welcome to copy, steal, photoshop, show your friends, use commercially, or claim as your own if you so choose to.  No credit to me necesarry I just love taking pictures.

Swim and Run part (not much swim photos).  This was taken with a GoPro wrist camera that I strapped to the front of my bicycle for the ride and wrist for the swim.

and these are the run pictures I took with a different camera.

I have a bunch of friends wanting to do this race next year.  Infact I'll get them in a few more here around Georgia this year.

Thanks! I found the podium with a 2nd place OA in the sprint. Haven't filed a RR yet though...doh!
