woke up at 5.15am, slept pretty well, ate some cereal, drank half a Diet Coke. Jim and Conor walked me down to the start,(Erin stayed in room she wasn't feeling well) Very windy and cold, thought I under dressed for sure. Hung around the Hampton Inn and tried to stay warm.
Event warmup:

Ran for about six mins, felt ok.

Comments:

I ran hard, I missed Boston by 3 minutes, that sucks but I was damm close. Maybe next time!!! The race started great and I kept with the 3.50 pace team until about mile 13/14. I lost them at a water station and couldn't seem to catch them. At this point I started seeing my times get a little slower but not bad, I caught sight of the 3.50 pace team but they were still a little ahead of me. My legs started giving me problems at about mile 17/18. The quads were sore, which was wierd since they haven't been giving any problems, but I could tell that's where I was going to have problems. Kept it going and about mile 19/20 that when my splits were getting longer. At this point I changed my plans and aimed for a sub 4 hour mararthon, which I did...Thank you for very much!!
What would you do differently?:

shaved off 8 sec every mile and qualified for Boston.
Post race
Warm down:

met Jim and the kids and slowly walked back the hotel room, showered, protein shake, peanut butter sand, iced Mocha and headed back to KY.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

????

Performance: Good
Course: flat course with two or three hills and some inclines. Not bad at all. We started out downtown and they took us out by the water and around the burbs. Nice area, I don't beleive we ran the "bad" part of Cleveland. Or maybe, I just didn't notice.

Nice time, great job.  I just finished my first 10k in the Rite Aid this morning as well.

Man that wind was brutal at the start while we all waited.
