Subject: RE: St. Andrews TriatlonIt's a good first tri; it was also my first. The water is deep, other than the water start and along the shore-line you will not be able to stand up. Also, when you come out of the water, it is a climb up a grass hill, then a 100 yrd run to transition. The sooner you can get out of the water, the better, because as the grass on the hill becomes more and more saturated with water, the harder it is the climb. Also, the run is a cross-country run, so I would recommend you get on the trails (if you haven't already) to prepare for the roots and un-even ground you'll be running on. Good Luck. |
