ME! Katy is where I claim to be "from", and since I'm racing IMFL, I'd like to do a FLAT century ride to see how it feels.  I'm heading over from Killeen with another friend of mine. Looking forward to it!

I couldn't help but notice, this thread is representative of everyday service life.  Navy leads the way followed by the Army and / or the Marines.  Air Force ummmm... yep just like everyday service life.

uh oh, sounds like a challenge and some jokes...I'll most likely be sporting my Team Army cycling jersey, and with my red hair and tri-bike you can't miss me--then we'll see who leads the way...

Challenge... what silly sailor is up for a challenge!  I will keep an eye out for the army garb, red hair & tribike... I too will be aboard Tribike, and will be sporting THE jersey of all jersies... decorated so nicely with the colorful Eagle, Globe & Anchor...   Besides ~ enlisted lead the way... so the Army & Navy (ol' fatty there was an officer...) Officer ranks can get on my back wheel and hope to keep the colorful EGA in sight!     It's all in good fun... like sibling rivalry!

Coming down for DFW, I'm in for my first century!  John (fattyfatfat) is going to tow me around all day!  I don't see any shame in that!

Do you live in the Houston/Katy area?  How tall are ya?  I may have a road bike you can borrow for the ride.  100 miles on a mountain bike is doable, people ride all kinds of bikes in the MS 150... but, a road bike might be easier for ya.  Then again, as young as you are... you are much more resiliant than us older folks... nothing like youthful enthusiasm to overcome most obstacles.

Glad your making the trip south, this is a nice flat course.

Good luck with the John tow-ya-along-thing... He doesn't ride fast enough to tow anything/anyone!  He rides like old people do the bow chika bow wow.... slow & sloppy!  lmao!  Let's go John...we don't have all frickin' dog on stinkin' day!

I was wondering why you and Andy were suggesting I was going to tow you.  Thats all fine and dandy but just plan on eating dinner at mile 72.

Are we going by the smokehouse / bbq place out in Brookshire at mile 72?  I remeber that place was yummy...  But that was 10 years ago now (really, 10???  Am I getting that old?)

That sounds real good!  Man you are old.  Wait I haven't had a run in with a car in a few weeks now.  Damn... I guess I'm due.

Uh oh....
But then you'd have to go my speed, and the inner hammer that lives in you wouldn't let that happen!

Won't that get you thrown out of Frisco?

I'd like to do the Katy - I've never done it.

Two weeks to go!  Why does 100 miles sound like such a long ways all the sudden?
