The road to IMFL starts Sunday!

Opps, I think I jumped the gun by a few months....

uh-oh!  looks like the Marine has some catching up to do.

NOPE.... That's why I am a Marine!  No catching up needed ~ just picking up where I left off!  Let's go Buttercup ~ Pain is all that Navy crap leaving your body!

Haha, not if you're doing 2010....I thought it was in reference to IMFL '09!

The sailor is lost when not at sea... I am doing IMFL 09 ~ but he was tooo skeeeered to sign up for a real race ~ right fatty?  Don't worry, I'll be there in 2010 too...to help fatty find his way!

Yzer - 2009-07-14 12:33 PM I have not signed up yet but will be there this weekend. I am coming from Lumberton which is just north of Beaumont. I am excited as this is the longest I will have rode so far. Did a 60 mile ride this past weekend with some hills to get prepared.

It appears that all kinds of BT'ers will be out riding ~ all levels ~ all distances, so you should be golden... come on out and join the fun.  Yep, pretty flat (no hills) ~ atleast that is what the veterans report.

It's Katy--if there is a hill on the course, it's cause we went over an overpass!!

All this service rivarly talk, talk, talk...we'll see who actually puts the "pedal to the metal"

I have seen your TL's Brittany... I'll take a pass on tangling with you!  I am secure enough in my Marine-hood to be "chicked"... Besides, fast chicks on bikes always look better from the rear

Not sure.  It wasn't on my radar.  Undecided The longest I have gone so far is 25.  I am still recouperating from my girly cruise.  Is there a link to the info?  I'd need a ride as well.

My wife and I wanna ride, but I am not sure I can make it.  I am training for this tri on Aug 9th, but have neglected the bike, we are anxious to meet some of you guys, but I don't wanna be an embarrassment on my old schwinn road bike.
Should we come out or sit it out?

come on down!  Not showing up is more embarrassing!  Really, if you see my trek or mercier, you would not be embarassed!  I think I have more mixed components than  a bartender!

As I have said before:  "I am a completer, not a competer..."  I am riding the century just to complete the distance - it will be my longest ride ever.

Forget about the embarrassment factor... won't be any!  Come on down and ride!  Good supported ride ~ friends of all levels ~ flat course... what else is there?  Maybe some beer...

You gotta show up now because most of us will be at Bridgelands and we'll hunt you down and embarrass the heck out of you there if you don't!   LOL!  Just kidding Jason!  not really

I'll be heading, probably w/ dog boy ^^^,  to packet pick up as soon as Andy gets his lazy a$$ into town Saturday.  You can meet us there and say whats up.  This way too you'll know who I am when you ride past me Sunday.   I'll post what time when we get closer.

Did someone say Carl's BBQ?

Dang, I wish I could be there! I have a friend doing it and they asked if I would do it, too, but I'll be on a mission trip with the junior high from our church. We actually won't be too terribly far from you (we'll be in East Bernard, TX).

Hope you all have a great time. Say hi and bye to Brittany as she passes you by!
