Looks like my trip up Nort', eh dere, was mutually cancelled.  Therefore, 1TT is thinking of participating in this on Sun.

Has the time been set in stone yet?  I'm starting from the BP across from Gray's Tied House (all the conveniences right there).

When coming into Verona from the "stick" (Whalen Road), cross over Old Hwy PB and then it's the first left - 950 Kimball Lane.  Or you can think of it as starting the 2nd loop from taking a right onto Whalen Rd off of Old Hwy PB, then first left onto Kimball Lane.

Ok, looks like I am a definite in, too! Phil, you were thinking of waiting at Gray's for the rest of the gang to show? It is a short ride from my place to there, so I can meet with you there...

If they start at Firemen's Park, and I wait for the gang at Gray's, then I'd be waiting for a couple of hours since they go clockwise on the course.

I'd be leaving from Gray's about 15 min. before their start to make sure to meet them at Firemen's Park, approx. 1.25 miles away.

From what was last noted, wheels out at Firemen's Park at 6:30 a.m., so I would leave BP at 6:15 a.m.

Gotcha, I'll plan on being at Gray's before 6:15!

I'm tempted to join for a loop, but this 6:15 or 6:30 situation makes me want to crawl into bed right now.

If through some sorcery or leprechaun magic I'm there, then I'll ride. And I'll be on my road bike drafting all of yous. But if history has taught us anything I won't be there.

Well, I survived!

A few things I learned:

1. The walmart road bike is great for a sprint event.
2. The walmart road bike SEAT is great for a sprint event.
3. The walmart handlebars aren't tall enough for a sprint event.
4. This wasn't a sprint event.
5. The walmart road bike gears suck on real hills. Not surprisingly
6. My kidneys need an anger managment class when I do long rides on this bike.

Would I do it again? Maybe next year, if I have a better bike!

It took me something like 3.5 hours to do this course, with lots of walking on most of the hills (actually, almost any up slope) on the back half. I just couldn't summon the energy to do these hills, even in granny gear.

Dude - I feel for ya.  I was getting worried how you were going to handle this after Skavoovie and I left at Mount Horeb, by your approval.

Hey, you finished it!

Not 'zactly.  It's all because of listening to demonic Heavy Metal at "infinity" for so many years that I just can't hear at all!   And, it helps, just maybe, that I ACTUALLY pay a little better attention to who has stopped in front of me, too.   "CLEAR"!

I bet those Endurance House folks were very anxious to get away from us to not cause anymore recklessness.

Got the rash for posterity, too.

How'd it go with the Taminator and Bob, 'dog?
