![]() Run
Comments: The cinder track start was a challenge with all the people to dodge. I started out chasing a guy from Boston who I expected to run about 25 minutes (I asked him). That's what I was shooting for. Road portion of the course was flat and aromatic (dairy farm). I kept finding another gear for the first half of the race through the turn back. Left the guy from Boston. I was dying at the end but powered home in 24:19. Huge race for me. What would you do differently?: My best 5K ever. Don't know if I have it in me to top it. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Clearly my stretching was inadequate. I pulled my calf four days later in my first post-race run. Paid for that for nearly two months. Last updated: 2009-07-06 12:00 AM

Was there an hour early.
Lots of stretching. Cattle car, first come-first served start was a challenge.
